About Us
Who We Are
Balmain Uniting Church is an inclusive and compassionate community. We affirm the gifts of people of all ages, cultural backgrounds, sexual orientations and identities. We are socially active and diverse in our theology, views and opinions.

We are a Christian community with a unique set up. Until the mid-’80s the Uniting Church in Balmain worshipped in the Methodist Mission in Montague Street. The mission was sold and the congregation moved into a converted terrace on Darling Street.

Balmain Uniting Church is a place where people can come and worship, be nurtured and cared for as well as engage in justice issues. The church has had a steady growth of new members from a range of theological and social backgrounds.

We welcome new members. If you’d like to visit occasionally or join us regularly, just turn up at 9.30am on Sundays or contact Rev. Lorenzo Torres if you’d like further information or how to participate.
